DIE ZEIT Gains 14% In Readership Marking A Record Level Of Total Sales!
The latest figures from the MA II 2020 readership survey report another huge success for our German weekly newspaper DIE ZEIT, with the publication registering 236,000 new readers compared with the previous quarter.
This now takes the total readership to 1,952,000 and thus cements DIE ZEIT’s position as Germany’s undisputed no. 1 quality newspaper, followed by Welt am Sonntag (898k readers, +4%) and Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung (782k readers, -6%).
Furthermore, DIE ZEIT is the only weekly newspaper in Germany to record growth in sold circulation during the first half of the year (IVW 2020/4). At 500,767 copies (+0.4% against 2019-I), the sold circulation of DIE ZEIT is outperforming Welt Print overall (479,951 sold copies; -4.5%) and Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung (221,594 sold copies; -6.9%). Subscription sales have increased to 349,623 copies (+5,661 copies), the highest quarterly figure in the history of the newspaper. This means that subscription now accounts for roughly 70% of the sold circulation of DIE ZEIT.
