Coverage increase of DIE ZEIT puts the title well ahead of the competitors
In the new 2018 edition of the AWA study, DIE ZEIT has excelled as the only quality German media title that has succeeded in growing year on year.
An increase in reach of 1.2% has propelled German newspaper DIE ZEIT well beyond its competitors, with the title now boasting an overall readership of 2.31 million readers.
The title has extended its lead in the segment of quality newspapers – well ahead of competitors Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung (0.87 million), Welt (0.63 million), Süddeutsche Zeitung (1.2 million) and Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (0.85 million), all of which have seen a reduction in readership over the last year. Additionally, this represents a clear lead over the WELT/WAMS combination, which reaches 1.73 million readers.
The lifestyle supplement ZEITmagazin has also maintained its high coverage – with its 1.58 million readers establishing the brand’s clear lead over SZ Magazin (1.21 million) and FAZ Magazin (0.99 million).
These results again highlight that DIE ZEIT is a leading, dependable and efficient medium driven by high standards of quality.
